Bereits mit 4 Jahren entdeckte Daniela Timokhine ihre Liebe zum Klavierspiel und nahm drei Jahre später den Unterricht auf.
Ein Konzertbesuch entfachte ihre Faszination für die Orgel: Ihr voller Klang, die Vielfalt der Klangfarben sowie die Herausforderung, auch mit den Füssen Tasten drücken zu können, bewogen sie dazu, das Orgelspiel zu erlernen.
Sie studierte Klavier an der Zürcher Hochschule der Künste (ZHdK) bei Professor Karl-Andreas Kolly. 2002 schloss sie ihre Master of Arts – Studien in Musikpädagogik und Music Performance mit Auszeichnung ab.
Gleichzeitig begann sie ihr Orgelstudium bei André Manz an der privaten Schweizer Musikhochschule SMPV – heute Kalaidos Musikhochschule. 2005 erwarb sie auch diese Master of Arts in Musikpädagogik und Music Performance mit Auszeichnung.
2005 bis 2008 perfektionierte sie ihre Orgelkenntnisse in Paris beim weltweit bekannten Orgelvirtuosen und Titularorganisten der Kirche St. Sulpice, Maître Daniel Roth.
2006 war Daniela Timokhine Preisträgerin der Stiftung Collard-Scherrer am Schweizerischen Kiefer-Hablitzel-Wettbewerb. Im selben Jahr erhielt sie einen Kulturförderpreis des Kantons Thurgau. 2007 zeigte das Schweizer Fernsehen SF1 eine Kurzdokumentation über ihr Wirken.
Als Orgelsolistin spielt sie in verschiedenen internationalen Konzertreihen und Festivals:

Als Pianistin konzertiert sie regelmässig mit diversen Kammermusikensembles.
2005-2017 war Daniela Timokhine Dozentin für Klavier an der Zürcher Hochschule der Künste ZHdK.
2003-2018 unterrichtet sie am Konservatorium Winterthur Klavier und Orgel. Seit 2018 unterrichtet sie Orgel an der Musikschule Konservatorium Zürich (MKZ) und ist Schulleiterin an der Musikschule Zürcher Oberland (MZO).
Seit 2005 ist Daniela Timokhine als Organistin in der reformierten Kirchgemeinde Zürich-Altstetten tätig. Sie organisiert die weit über das Quartier hinaus beliebten Konzerte “Westspiele“ mit international renommierten Künstlern.
2019-2022 unterrichtete sie Orgel an der Musikschule Konservatorium Zürich (MKZ)
Seit 2019 ist sie Musikschulleiterin der Musikschule Zürcher Oberland (MZO).
Daniela Timokhine discovered her passion for the piano at the age of four. Three years later she started taking lessons.
Visiting an organ concert sparked her fascination for the organ: its full tone, the abundant variety of tone colours and the challenge of tapping keys with the feet as well as the hands prompted her to learn the organ.
She studied the piano at the Zurich University of the Arts with Professor Karl-Andreas Kolly and completed her Master of Arts in Music Pedagogy and Music Performance in 2002 with distinction.
Simultaneously she started studying the organ with Andre Manz at the Swiss private Academy SMPV – today Kalaidos University. 2005 she received her Masters of Art in Music Pedagogy and Music Performance with distinction as well.
From 2005 to 2008
she brought her organ skills to perfection while studying with Maître Daniel Roth, world-famous organ virtuoso and appointed titular organist at St. Sulpice in Paris.
2006
Daniela Timokhine won the Collar-Scherrer Foundation Prize in the prestigious Kiefer-Hablitzel Competition. In the same year, she received the Culture Award of the Canton of Thurgau. In 2007, the Swiss TV showed a documentary of her work.
She currently performs as organ soloist at various international festivals:

As pianist she plays regularly in various chamber music formations.
2005-2017
she was teaching piano at the Zurich University of the Arts.
2003-2018
she was teaching the piano and the organ at the Winterthur Conservatory. Since 2018 is she teaching the organ at the Music School and Conservatory Zurich and is working as a Principal in Music School Zurich Oberland.
Since 2005
Daniela has been an organist at the Protestant Church in Zurich-Altstetten. There she organizes the well-known concerts “Westspiele” with internationally renowned artists.
2019-2022 she taught organ at the Musikschule Konservatorium Zürich (MKZ).
Since 2019 she is the music school director of the Musikschule Zürcher Oberland (MZO).
